Important Information

Lind End Guest Farm is reached via approximately 5km of dirt road after the R71 turnoff. Parts of this dirt road are quite rough and change according to the season. The road is not always suitable for very low profile cars. If you have any concerns, please contact us to find out about the road condition beforehand.

We can have wet conditions in summer and often experience mountain mist yet the property is out of the intense lowveld heat.

This is a working farm, so pets or animals are not allowed onto the property.

Our guests come to Lind End to enjoy nature and get some peace and quiet so no parties, events, loud noise, music or day visitors are permitted.

We regret no babies or children under 12. The swimming pool is not fenced and there are other potential hazards like open decks, stairs, electric fence, farm implements, snakes, etc.

The property is located on the side of a mountain and has steep slopes and stairs and is therefore not suitable for people with mobility issues including wheelchair users.

Check-in time is from 14:00 and departure time is before 10:00.

We provide a cleaning service where a member of staff will wash dishes, make the beds and tidy up. Please let us know whether you require this service or not and indicate a time that the cleaning staff can start work.

The Caretakers live in an extension of the main house and have access to the Main House store room, laundry and scullery.

The property has an electric fence around the perimeter which is on 24/7. Please do not touch the fence.

Strictly no smoking allowed inside the House or the Cottage. Ashtrays are provided on the decks. Please do not dispose of cigarette butts in the garden.

Flying of drones on and above the property is not allowed. We consider this a serious invasion of privacy.

Due to our location in a mountainous rural area, we are subject to power cuts. We provide candles and torches, our cookers run on gas, our hot water is from gas and solar and we have a generator for emergencies.

Toilets, showers, basins and sinks all connect to a septic tank system which uses beneficial bacteria to break down waste. Please do not dispose of anything other than toilet paper in the toilets (eg sanitary towels, cardboard, plastic, etc). Please use the waste bins provided.

At Lind End we aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible and ask that you do not use any harmful chemicals, insecticides or sprays during your stay with us.
